If you have OCD, you’ll usually experience frequent obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours which are not under your control. You can’t help yourself with them.
An obsession –
– is an unwanted and unpleasant thought, image or urge that repeatedly enters your mind, Doesn’t matter how much you try Not to think about it, causing feelings of anxiety, disgust or unease.
A compulsion –
– is a repetitive behaviour or mental act that you feel you need to carry out to try to temporarily relieve the unpleasant feelings or because you are not satisfied by the thing that you are doing and are brought on by the obsessive thought. For example, when a person suffering from OCD touches a Dog head with their hand then the thought of Bacteria, Disgust them. The thought of washing their hand is continuously Running into their mind and when they finally started washing their hand they Wash at least 3- 4 times because of the fear of bacteria and satisfaction.
But don’t worry it can be treated just contact your nearest Psychiatrist.
